This project entails the demolition of a multistory building prior to constructing landscape and greenscape for student and faculty use. Managing this work in an active and urban campus was a major undertaking that impacted many stakeholders. As the Design-Bid-Build general contractor, FS 360’s management plan focused on minimizing negative impacts by implementing a rapid response RFI/ submittals process, aggressive procurement timetables, thorough subcontractor vetting and scope reviews, and collaborative schedule development. The project is progressing very well including management of project scope changes. Given Library North’s proximity and connectivity to the work at Kell Hall, FS 360 will utilize our existing knowledge and lessons learned to ensure an excellent outcome for the GSU Library North effort.
