Tell us about your background?
I am a native of metro Atlanta by way of Lithonia, GA. I have a degree in Construction Management from North Carolina A&T State University, Class of 2014. As of this year, I have been working in the construction industry for 10 years.
How long have you been working with FS 360, and what motivated you to join the team?
I have been with FS 360 going on 1.5 years. One motivating factor for joining the FS 360 team was their dedication to providing minorities and minority owned companies gainful opportunities within the construction industry.
What types of projects are you currently working on?
Since starting with FS 360 I have worked on K-12, Healthcare, and Capital Improvement Projects.
Can you share a memorable experience or achievement during your time here?
One memorable experience was being promoted to Project Manager and being awarded my first project that I managed throughout the Pre-Construction life cycle.
What lead you to working in the construction industry?
As a kid I was always mesmerized with watching building being built from the ground up. I enjoyed playing with Legos and small woodcraft toys, these experiences unknowingly at the time, shaped me for wanting to be a part of the building process in some form or fashion. I would eventually learn of the construction management career and knew instantly that was what I wanted to be!
What advice do you have for someone looking to start a career in construction?
The advice I would give to someone looking to being a career in construction is to practice any skills that will help you with critical thinking and to search for the small details. You learn quickly in this industry that the answers you are usually looking for are located right in front of you within the details.
