Tell us about your background?

I have worked in construction since 1994, working in residential, commercial, and industrial industries. I built high end custom homes from 1994 to 2010 & ran a side deck business from 1995 till 2005.

How long have you been working with FS 360 and what motivated you to join the team?

I have been working with FS 360 for fourteen years since 2010. During the recession the residential construction industry plummeted, so working with FS 360 allowed me to shift into commercial and industrial sectors.

What types of projects are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a healthcare renovation project for Grady Health Systems. This project involves a comprehensive cosmetic refresh of the rehabilitation treatment area and a multiphase tenant fit-out, adding more reception and exam treatment spaces.

Can you share a memorable experience or achievement during your time here?

My favorite project was installing 2 flight simulators on the 3rd floor of a 5 story building for Delta Air Lines. To install the flight simulators we had to open the side of the building to fly them in with a special kind of crane.

What led you to working in the construction industry?

Many of my family members were in construction. My father was a builder, I have uncles who were plumbers, carpenters, and electricians, so it felt like the natural path.

What advice do you have for someone looking to start a career in construction?

Construction can be a difficult career path, however, it can be very profitable and rewarding when you get to step back and see what you have built. I enjoy looking back at all the different kinds of projects I have been a part of, as well as the change of scenery from each new project.
